Shanghai Daily about the state of IPTV in China. China's current IPTV user base was at 300,000 in 2005. In 2008 that figure is expected to grow to 10 million. The total TV user base is 300 million.

Here are the 5 Hurdles to Adopting IPTV in China by 2008:

  1. high price on hardware
  2. immature technology
  3. unstandardized policies and protocols
  4. lack of high-speed broadband delivery
  5. inexperience in marketing the new service to customers
